  2. The song contained within the zip file is called "Man Against Machine".
  3. No getting away from the fact we are surrounded by the things, but as the
  4. man says..."I don't like confrontations'. Yeeaaahhh, riiight!
  5. This is a track from our 7th XM project called "2020: Living On Mars".

  8. Also as usual, this track is somewhere in the region of 5-7 mins long, which is partly
  9. the reason for it's HUGE file size. Many apologies for these extreme sizes but both the
  10. material and the samples take up lots of space - you will see why when you play the file........

  12. Who are REBEL RIFFS?
  13.  
  14. An unusual entity which combines the talents of a top flight record producer, a seasoned
  15. arranger, vulgar and ill-mannered musicians of all shapes and sizes and as many samples
  16. and patches as we can lay our hands on! We have several addresses dotted around the online

  30. The REBEL RIFFS  Music
  31.  
  32. Mostly made these days on Fast Tracker II in XM format, although earlier tracks were released
  33. in a GUS only 'demo' type format but we switched in order for more folks to hear the Rebs in
  34. action. A full discography can be found at the end of this file. All XM's are tested on a
  35. variety of soundcards (best on a GUS or an AWE32 obviously :-) ) and players including Cubic
  36. Player (the best of the best!) for DOS and MODplug player for Windoze '95, Mod4Win, Impulse
  37. Tracker (RR's music sounds particularly fine in IT with a AWE32 or 64).

  39. The Samples

  41. Being the aural magpies we are the samples we use come from everywhere, so here goes:
  42. Samples used in the latest tracks come from the excellent SoundWave collection from Chad Gould
  43. (cgould@gate.net) and from the ever-expanding collection of great sample CD's from Time and
  44. Space (http://www.timespace.com) and the utterly superb 'Cube' samples from Best Service
  45. (http://www.bestservice.de/). Some of the '2020' samples are from the following World Wide Web
